Reel 1, LST's are launched and loaded; DUKW's carry supplies from LST's to a beach. An LST burns after an air attack. Fighter pilots are briefed in England and fly a bomber escort mission. Gun cameras record the downing of German planes. Reel 2, a chaplain conducts services in the tropics. An enemy railway station is strafed. Rolling stock is repaired at a captured railway terminal. Gen. MacArthur orders an attack on Lae, New Guinea; paratroops take off and a smoke screen is laid during the jump.

General of the Army Douglas MacArthur (26 January 1880 – 5 April 1964) was an American five-star general and Field Marshal of the Philippine Army. He was Chief of Staff of the United States Army during the 1930s and played a prominent role in the Pacific theater during World War II. He received the Medal of Honor for his service in the Philippines campaign, which made him and his father Arthur MacArthur Jr. the first father and son to be awarded the medal.
